What these terms cover: this website and its free tools, the monthly newsletter, the public MCP server and the open data. All of it is free, so nothing here is a purchase.

Who you are dealing with

This site is operated by Nodegrove, run by its founder, a sole trader in Lithuania. Contact: info@nodegrove.io.

The operator is the founder personally, a sole trader in Lithuania, not a company. You can request the operator's full legal identity at any time by writing to the address above.

What these terms cover

  1. Reading nodegrove.io and its guides and reference pages.
  2. Using its free tools: the checkers and calculators.
  3. The monthly newsletter.
  4. The public MCP server at mcp.nodegrove.io, the open dataset and the cloud GPU price feed.

All of it is free, and nothing on this site charges you. A provider we link to has its own terms, which apply when you use it.

The tools, and what the numbers are worth

This matters more here than the usual disclaimer, because people make purchase decisions from these pages.

Every figure on this site is one of four things, and the page says which: a published specification from a manufacturer or a model card, the output of a formula written out on the page that uses it, a measurement we made on a rented GPU, with its date and card, or a number you typed in yourself. Prices are read from each provider's own page, with the date we read them, and change without notice.

Estimates are wrong in both directions. Attention kernels and paged KV caches can push real memory use below what we show; batch sizes above one, vision encoders, long videos and some runtimes push it above. A measurement holds for the card, software and settings it names. We state the assumptions on each tool so you can judge them.

So: do not buy hardware or commit to a provider on the strength of a number from this site alone. Check the model card and the provider's own page, and treat a tight fit as a maybe. We are not liable for a purchase that turns out not to suit you, and we would rather say that plainly than bury it.

If you find a figure that is wrong, tell us at info@nodegrove.io and we will correct it. Corrections are made publicly, in the same place as the error.

Referral links

Some links to providers are referral links: if you sign up or pay through one, the provider may pay us. Each one is labelled where it appears, and How we stay independent explains how it works. A referral link never changes a verdict, a ranking or a number, and using one costs you nothing extra.

The newsletter

  • One email a month, about new open models, prices and our measurements. Subscribing costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
  • Every issue has an unsubscribe link that works in one click, and unsubscribing stops the emails at once.
  • We may change how often it goes out, or stop it. If we stop, the last issue says so.
  • The privacy notice covers what we hold and for how long.

Acceptable use

Read the site, use the tools and the MCP server, quote from it. What we ask you not to do:

  • Do not attempt to break, overload or probe the site, the MCP server or its API beyond ordinary use. Security researchers are welcome: write to info@nodegrove.io first and we will not treat a good-faith report as an attack.
  • Do not sign other people up to the newsletter.
  • Do not scrape the site in a way that degrades it for other people. The data is open: take the dataset or the price feed instead, or ask.
  • Do not present the site, or a copy of it, as your own or as endorsed by us.

We may limit or block traffic that breaks these rules, without notice. The site and the MCP server are provided as they are: we try to keep them accurate and available, and we do not promise either.

Our content, and citing it

The writing, the design, the illustrations and the software behind this site belong to us. The underlying facts do not, and never could: architecture numbers come from published model cards, and card specifications from manufacturers. The open dataset is published under CC BY 4.0 and the maths package under the MIT licence; their own pages say how to credit them.

You may quote and cite this site freely, including the tables, the estimates and the measurements, provided you say where the figure came from and link to the page it is on. What you may not do is republish a page wholesale, or copy the tools and present them as your own work.

Screenshots in articles, forum posts, videos and reviews are fine and need no permission.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected by anything written here.

Subject to that: the site, its tools, the MCP server and the data are provided without warranty of any kind, and we are not liable for loss arising from relying on them, including hardware bought, capacity planned, a provider chosen or a project scoped on the strength of an estimate. Our total liability in connection with this site is limited to the amount you have paid us, which is zero.

Changes, and governing law

We may update these terms. The version date is at the top of the page, and if a change materially affects newsletter subscribers we will tell them in the next issue rather than assume they re-read this page.

These terms are governed by the law of Lithuania, and its courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in, and you may bring proceedings there. Nothing here removes a right the law gives you.
