Comfy CloudYes

Every node is built into ComfyUI. The largest stage, 15.8 GB, fits its 96 GB RTX PRO 6000. Plans from $20 a month; it bills only while a workflow runs.

Custom nodes

None: every node is built into ComfyUI 0.41.0.

Custom nodes checked against the 60 node packs Comfy Cloud listed on 10 July 2026, the last public copy of its catalog (archived). Packs added since show in its Nodes tab.

Sizes: exact bytes from Hugging Face, for the 101 files of the models this site covers and 375 files ComfyUI's official templates download, read 16 October 2026. Custom nodes checked against ComfyUI 0.41.0. NVIDIA cards; FP4 files only on Blackwell. The link carries the file names and your sizes, never the workflow.

How it reads a workflow

A workflow names every model file it loads in its loader nodes. The checker reads those names from the .json, or from the copy ComfyUI writes into every PNG it saves, and then:

  • Sizes each file exactly. For the 101 files of the image and video models this site covers, and the 375 files ComfyUI's 383 official templates download, it has the byte counts Hugging Face reports. A file it does not know gets a box for the size from your own disk, and is left out of the answer until you fill it in.
  • Works out the stages. Text encoders first, then any prompt enhancer, then the diffusion model with its VAE, LoRAs and ControlNets. Two-expert models such as Wan 2.2 hold one expert at a time, with that expert's LoRA. Depth, segmentation and background-removal models run in their own step. The largest stage is what has to fit: under 85% of the card's usable memory loads fully, up to 95% loads tightly.
  • Finds a swap. If the workflow does not load on your card, it looks for the highest-precision files of the same model that would: the diffusion model first, then the text encoder, never another model's file.
  • Lists custom nodes. Every node type not built into ComfyUI 0.41.0, with its node pack where the workflow records one.

Or start from a model: pick one, and the checker loads the model files of ComfyUI's own template for it and answers the same way. Beside the memory answer, it says whether Comfy Cloud runs the workflow, the cheapest cloud GPU by the hour that holds it, and what one image or clip costs, where a provider prints a price or we measured one ourselves. Each figure carries the date it was read or measured.

Working memory is not estimated, here or anywhere on this site: it grows with resolution, frame count and batch, depends on the attention kernel, and nobody publishes it per model.

When ComfyUI runs out of memory

  1. The files load, then generation fails: lower the resolution or the frame count. Working memory is what grew.
  2. The largest stage does not fit the card: swap to a smaller file of the same model, FP8 or INT8 instead of BF16. The checker names the file and links to it.
  3. Nothing smaller fits: ComfyUI streams what does not fit from system RAM. Its README says it "can run even the biggest open source models on as low as 4GB vram + 8GB ram". Slower, not impossible.

Where each file goes

A "missing model" message usually means a file is in the wrong folder. Each kind of model has its own, under ComfyUI/models/:

Kind of fileFolder
Diffusion modelmodels/diffusion_models
Checkpoint, all in onemodels/checkpoints
Text encoder or prompt enhancermodels/text_encoders
VAEmodels/vae
LoRAmodels/loras
Vision encodermodels/clip_vision
Upscalermodels/upscale_models
ControlNetmodels/controlnet
Model patchmodels/model_patches

For a model's every file at every precision, and which one loads on which card, see the image and video models or the ComfyUI VRAM checker. If your card falls short, the ComfyUI cloud guide compares every way to rent one, by price.

Questions

How much VRAM does my ComfyUI workflow need?
As much as its largest stage, not the sum of its files. ComfyUI runs the text encoders, then any prompt enhancer, then the diffusion model with its VAE and LoRAs, and moves each out when the next needs the room. ComfyUI's own Wan 2.2 image-to-video template downloads 38.0 GB, two 14B experts and their LoRAs, but its largest stage is 15.8 GB. Working memory for the image or video comes on top and grows with resolution and frame count.
Why does ComfyUI say a model is missing?
Because the file the workflow names is not in the folder ComfyUI reads for that kind of model. Each loader reads one folder under ComfyUI/models: diffusion models from diffusion_models, text encoders from text_encoders, VAEs from vae, LoRAs from loras. The checker lists every file the workflow loads, where to put it and, for the files it knows, where to download it.
What do I do when ComfyUI runs out of memory?
If the model files load and generation then fails, lower the resolution or the frame count first: that is working memory, and it is what grew. If the largest stage itself does not fit, swap to a smaller file of the same model, such as FP8 instead of BF16; the checker names the swap. Failing that, ComfyUI streams what does not fit from system RAM, which is slower but runs.
Is my workflow uploaded?
No. The file is read by your browser and nothing is sent anywhere. A copied link carries only the file names and any sizes you typed, after the # in the address, which browsers never send to a server.
What is a custom node, and how do I install one?
A node that is not part of ComfyUI itself but comes from a node pack someone else publishes. The checker compares every node in the workflow with the 978 node types ComfyUI 0.41.0 ships, and names the pack where the workflow records it. ComfyUI Manager installs most packs by name; a cloud service with a fixed node list may not have them.
